Thank you for your warm and generous support for the people impacted by the Gulf Coast hurricane disaster. Your enthusiastic response to the appeal for help is deeply appreciated by all the tireless volunteers from Airline Ambassadors International and by all the hundreds and thousands of people that your donations have helped.

Nancy Rivard, President of Airline Ambassadors, and her AAI team have through the good use of leverage with vendors and other supporters multiplied the donated amount to over tenfold in aid! Thank you so much for your kindness and care for our fellow beings in need. What we did was to offer a hand with love to help them up, you made it possible.

After the initial rescue, the Gulf residents now have to figure out how to rebuild their lives. We can help by going to the area with AAI volunteers to work with the residents there to clean, repair, strategize, play, make music, educate and otherwise help them start afresh from the ruins. What a heartfelt way to make a difference and to do worthwhile service.

I will let Nancy Rivard, the Founder and President of AAI speak to you in her own words about the opportunities for volunteer service that is so needed now in the Gulf area:

"I joyfully offer our Airline Ambassador missions on the Gulf Coast and throughout the world as venues for Global Service...and would love to have anyone from Us Foundation participate. Anyone can check our web site and participate as it fits their schedule. www.airlineamb.org

It will take years for the people there to recover, and although the trip may be a bit "rough" (there are no hotels in town, and the work can be difficult) but it is so inspiring to see the tears in their eyes as they share that we have given them renewed hope. As winter sets in we are now receiving requests for blankets and coats....and working on "manifesting" these for the many residents are still camped out in front of their homes.

Airline Ambassadors International have "adopted" the town of Slidell , LA but we are also working in Bay St. Louis, MS.  Volunteers should be a member of Airline Ambassadors and complete a Disaster Relief
application form and then contact the Mission Coordinator for the trip they are interested in. Mission costs are typically $150 after airfare, to cover transportation and donations...and volunteers can stay as long as they like. If members would like to visit on their own or come in a different time frame from the missions below, we can set that up too. Contact Marie Rivard (our Missions Director) at missions@airlineamb.org for details."
